‘Form 7 Misuse’ Storm In Karnataka: Voter Deletion Row Sparks Political Battle | Brass Tacks

Karnataka’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls has triggered a political storm over allegations of misuse of Form 7 to seek deletion of voters’ names. Police have registered FIRs in multiple cases following complaints of alleged attempts to remove eligible voters, including members of minority communities. The BJP has rejected allegations of a coordinated attempt to disenfranchise voters, while the Election Commission has ordered investigations into bulk Form 7 filings. Karnataka’s Chief Electoral Officer has also clarified that no voter has been deleted so far on the basis of these Form 7 objections, with applications subject to verification and due process. n18oc_indian18oc_brass-tacksNews18 Mobile App - https://onelink.to/desc-youtube

Pakistan’s Espionage Attempt Exposed: 2 Held In Assam For Sharing Army Movement Data | News18

Assam Police have arrested two people, including a retired Indian Army jawan working on a contractual basis, in an alleged Pakistan-linked espionage case. The accused are suspected of sharing sensitive information related to Indian Army movements with Pakistani intelligence operatives. One of the accused has been identified as Abhishek Kumar Singh, a 31-year-old Bihar resident, who was arrested by the Assam STF in Guwahati. Police said mobile phones, SIM cards and documents were recovered during the operation. A second suspect was subsequently arrested as investigators probe the wider network. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said preliminary reports suggest the accused may have been honey-trapped to extract sensitive information.
